What do we mean by volunteerism?
Many young people want to give back to conservation in some way. The reality is that you will only really be effective if you spend a few weeks at a volunteer centre. But some people don’t have the time. So a shorter one- or two-week programme is what we call volunteerism. It gives you a flavour of what volunteer work is like (and yes, you will be helping!) But it can be combined with a more classic safari as well.
