Bateleur Safari Camp review by Milandi

Though no longer the least expensive, this well-priced little camp is very charming.ย It has a lovely forest setting. The main areas and bedrooms are modern in feel. Mostly alfresco living but there is a guest indoor dining area where people can help themselves to snacks and thereโ€™s an honesty bar.

The tented rooms are simple but stylish. The bathroom is quite rustic in feel with wooden latte (poles) as walls. But it is a pleasant experience and feels in keeping.

This is a moderately priced camp so they donโ€™t have barmen to serve drinks etc.

There are 6 rooms, two of which are family tents with the main parentsโ€™ bedroom at the front, then a kidโ€™s bedroom behind and a larger bathroom. With plenty of cupboard space for everyone.

Plus Points

  • Good price
  • Forest setting with a swimming pool
  • Serene ambience
  • Wooden furniture in a contemporary style so feels warm and modern

Minus Points

  • Solar powered so no air-con for summer!
  • Small public areas but thatโ€™s fine for the price that you pay
