The Cape Peninsula is full of wonderful things to do from one of the finest coastal drives in the world â Chapmans Peak Drive â to Cape Point National Park with its stunning coastal scenery, historic lighthouses, fynbos and hiking trails to enjoy. Here you might see whales breeching just off the bay and nearby you can view the quirky penguins on Boulders beach, and even swim with them if you are lucky!
Some of Cape Townâs loveliest beaches are found on the Cape Peninsula at Noordhoek, St James and Kommetjie, alongside pretty towns and villages of Hout Bay, Simonstown and Kalk Bay with their interesting little shops and bistros, stunning sea views and laid-back charm.
The question is whether you want to stay here. Or stay in the city and come for the day. That depends on what youâd most like to do. If you are into nightlife and plenty of shopping, then the city will hold more appeal. But if you enjoy being active, this could be the perfect place.
