These Okavango Delta mixed-activity camps offer a variety of both water and land-based safari activities throughout the year. And not just during the Okavango flood from June/July to October. This is particularly useful if you have limited time and donβt have time to visit two safari camps in different parts of the Delta.
Why can they offer water and land based activities? Usually itβs because they lie on one of the perennial rivers or water channels of the Okavango Delta. These continue to run through the Delta, even when itβs not in flood. So you can enjoy a game-viewing boat cruise or a mokoro excursion out of the classic delta βseasonβ of July to September. Naturally the pattern of activities will be more land-based in the green season, and more water-based during the flood.
They call this lodge βthe Gentlemenβ. Lighter woods are now used but thereβs still quite a manly feel to the lodge. All in all, it runs very well and I would recommend it...
