Zambezi Mubala Lodge

Overview

Along the edge of the mighty Zambezi River, lies the luxurious watery sanctuary of Zambezi Mubala Lodge. This is a bird-lover’s dream, home to one of the largest colonies of Carmine Bee-eaters, that live along the banks of the majestic Zambezi River. These birds are often joined by the occasional hippo or crocodile, baking in the shallow waters along the banks.

Newly-built, modern, innovative and stylish, Zambezi Mubala Lodge is a secret river hideaway where water laps the shores of the mighty Zambezi, hippos laugh and the calls of fish eagles pierce the vast blue sky.

All rooms overlooks the river.  These spacious rooms all have en-suite bathrooms with large shower, separate dressing room, bedroom with doors out to a deck, and mosquito nets over the bed.  Relax on your balcony or lie back and absorb the peace of the river.

Activities include nature walks, especially when the carmine bee-eaters are at their most active, sundowner boat cruises on the river and even trying your luck at a spot of fishing. This is a superb area for fishing with its sister lodge, Mubala Camp catering for the fishing enthusiast.

Mubala Lodge is approx 1 hours drive from the Botswana border, and 2 hours to Kasane (for Chobe National Park) and 3.5 hours to Victoria Falls (due to the border crossings). It is also very easy to continue to other lodges in the Caprivi Strip from here.
