The Views Hotel & Spa is set high on a dune, right on the edge of the beautiful long sandy beach at Wilderness, in the western Garden Route close to George. The Views Hotel is not only a great base for exploring the Garden Route but also offers fabulous Indian Ocean views for those who simply want to relax.
There are very few hotels directly on the Garden Route Coast, so this is a very exciting option. The Views Boutique Hotel & Spa - with 18 contemporary rooms and suites - live up to its name, with an architectural design to take full advantage of the spectacular setting. It is large enough to offer all-important luxuries such as a choice of places to eat, a pool and a state of the art spa. But it is small enough to feel pleasantly exclusive.
The exterior architecture is designed to encapsulate and maximise its stunning sea front location. Floor to ceiling glass ensures sea views, and the marine theme continues indoors with ceilings designed to reflect the movement of water and a rotating 'aquarium' of glass fish which flows through the four levels of the hotel.
Views Restaurant provides an elegant dining experience overlooking the Ocean. The food style is avant-garde and follows the major modern cuisine trends around the world. In contrast the bistro-style family restaurant Sails is more casual. Watch the whales and dolphins play in the waves or enjoy the sunset over cocktails. Sails offers family-friendly cuisine using the freshest local produce. Both restaurants have floor to ceiling glass walls overlooking the ocean.
A private rooftop pool offers mountain views with large glass panels to reflect light down into the Library Lounge below. The pool deck extends to ocean side with a bar for enjoying cocktails and the ocean views at the same time. There is also a small games room for older children with a pool table, table tennis and Wii games.
There’s a state of the art spa, which has five treatment rooms, a Rassoul chamber, sauna, floatation brine pool and a large heated jet pool. The lodge also has a well equipped gym for working off some of the delicious cuisine.
A range of room types is available at the Views. All are supremely comfortable. Modern, eclectic and fresh, all are furnished with carefully chosen contemporary furniture and finishes. As well as tea and coffee, there is a butler station, mini-bar and air-conditioning. En-suite bathrooms, with underfloor heating, are semi open-plan which emphasise the light, airy feel. Natural light floods through frameless glass windows, showcasing the spectacular Indian Ocean in front or the Outeniqua Mountains to the north.
All rooms are unique and vary in terms of size and layout. Five Honeymoon suites have full-on sea views as does the seven Premier suites. Two Luxury suites have side sea views with large balconies offering excellent value for money. Three Deluxe Suites are mountain facing. There are also four two-bedroom suites, ideal for families, with a private entrance lobby. The Classic suites have a compact second bedroom, ideal for children or perhaps a teenager or single adult. One suite combines a Deluxe and a Classic room (both mountain facing); one suite combines a Honeymoon with a Classic room (mountain view) and two suites combine a Premier suite with a Classic room (both with full sea views).
