Victoria Falls River Lodge

Victoria Falls River Lodge is nestled amongst the trees on the peaceful banks of the mighty Zambezi River. This luxury lodge was the first private game lodge in the Zambezi National Park. And still sets the standard. It is the ideal place from which to explore Victoria Falls and the Zambezi Park at the same time.

It blends the African Safari experience with Victoria Falls. As it is so close that you can see the spray in the distance!  It offers the perfect combination of personal service, exceptional wildlife viewing, fine dining & luxurious accommodation. And so comes highly recommended. But with a price tag to match!

The Lodge's spacious, open plan design offers a cool sanctuary from the African sun. Positioned only meters from the river's edge, you can sit back & relax, enjoy a cocktail under the shade of the thatched roof or unwind with panoramic river views. Views that are only interrupted by occasional elephant strolling by. Or perhaps a wallowing hippo. Soft birdsong & the gentle munching of 'resident' warthogs keeping the lawns trim are the only sounds you hear.

Activities at Victoria Falls River Lodge

The Victoria Falls River Lodge is perfectly located. So you can have easy access to a vast array of adventure & adrenaline activities at the Falls on the one hand. But you can also enjoy safari activities in the park with game drives, game-viewing river cruises, birding, canoeing and walking safaris all on offer. After a day of excitement; you can relax, refresh & recharge in the river-side lounge. Or unwind alongside the pool with a favourite book.

Accommodation

Each massive tent has been tastefully decorated in earthy hues. And each offers a larger than king size bed, freestanding bath with a view, comfortable sitting area, indoor & outdoor shower. Outside there's a private viewing deck with your private plunge pool. And this certainly beckons invitingly under the heat of the African sun. Standard in all suites are mosquito nets, mini bar, electronic safe, fan, air-contioning and international adaptors.

Family Tents offers an additional tented childrens bedroom. This has a single and a bunk bed. So three children can sleep comfortably. And it allows their parents a bit more privacy.

Victoria Falls Island Lodge

Click here for the newest addition, the ultra-luxurious Island lodge extension with five treehouse Suites. This can be viewed as its own lodge. But guests are also welcome to come to the main lodge to enjoy a spa treatment for example. But not vice versa.
