Attention to detail, its elegance and an outstanding reputation have set this hotel apart as one of Cape Town’s finest establishments. A luxurious stay awaits at each of the 94 well-appointed, contemporary rooms, with views of the Alfred Basin, Table Mountain or the piazza. Warm personal service will make you feel at home instantly.
Though the low-slung V&A Hotel (with only 3 floors) was the first hotel in the V&A Waterfront, it has kept up with the times whilst retaining its reputation for warm personal service and a relaxed ambience. Each of the rooms at Victoria & Alfred Hotel is spacious and well appointed with separate bath and shower, swivel television with satellite channels, telephone, fully stocked minibar, complimentary wifi and a king size bed to ensure a comfortable stay.
The only thing to note is that the Victoria & Alfred Hotel has no swimming pool. However guests staying here are welcome to use both the swimming pool, garden and spa facilities of its luxurious sister hotel, The Dockhouse, which lies 3 minutes walk away.
The Ginja Restaurant offers both a visual and culinary delight. It is set right on the water's edge with views up to the majestic Table Mountain. You can choose to dine alfresco on the terrace and bask in the marine ambience. This chic restaurant offers a wholesome and delicious menu. With a wide variety of options from a range of cuisine styles. From risottos, to wraps, seafood, salads and sandwiches. However if you fancy a change, there’s a vast range of restaurants on offer within easy walking distance in the rest of the Waterfront.
