Overview

This secluded camp is tucked away under ageless sausage trees exactly located at the confluence of the Luangwa, Kapamba and Lusangazi Rivers in South Luangwa, Zambia. Three Rivers Camp is located approximately 2 hours South of Kafunta River Lodge and a mere 7 km North of Island Bush Camp - a perfect Zambia Safari experience.

The Camp:

The dining lounge and bar is discreetly set on the banks of the river. With a large viewing deck, fireplace and relaxing chairs. The perfect spot to observe the many hippos and crocodiles basking on the beaches ahead.

The waterhole in the middle of the camp offers game viewing opportunities from the viewing deck at the main area and your private elevated platforms.

The Tents:

Three Rivers Camp is an intimate camp with only 5 spacious tents, elegantly decorated with natural materials and earthy hues. These tents lay under shady sausage trees and are facing either the Luangwa River or the game-rich lagoon. With their large gauzed windows you have extensive views of the Luangwa River and the lagoon. The en-suite semi-open bathrooms include indoor and outdoor showers, double sinks and flushing toilets.

Each tent has its own large wooden deck with comfy chairs to enjoy the surroundings. The distinctive feature of the camp is the private elevated decks with day beds and star beds attached to each tent.

Activities:

Morning and late afternoon game drives are on offer in the South Luangwa National Park. Along with bushwalks around the camp area and down the river banks. Should you combine Three Rivers Camp with Island Bush Camp, you can decide to walk between the camps while your bags will be transferred separately.

Please note: Three Rivers Camp is a seasonal camp and is only open from 25 May to 1 November.
