On Safari

Enjoy twice daily game drives with the most accomplished guiding team in South Africa and discover the finer details of the bush while on foot during a morning bush walk. Waterside at Royal Malewana lies within the 12,000-hectare Thonrybush Game Reserve, adjacent to the Greater Kruger National Park. The reserve with its savanna plains and riverine tributaries is home to a host of larger predators, including the Big Five, and an abundance of bird and other mammal species.

Accommodation

Waterside’s four expansive luxury suites exude an effortless elegance. Jewel-toned oriental rugs cloak the floors, thatch peeks out between ceiling beams. Whilst your, private plunge pool beckons with views over the bush (and sometimes visiting elephants).

Each luxury suite is 100m2 inside plus a private deck, gazebo, outdoor shower and plunge pool. Rooms can be made up as a twin or a king. Facilities include ceiling fans, air-conditioning, in room safe and wifi.

All of Waterside’s luxurious freestanding suites are linked up to the lodge’s reception, dining areas, library and spa via paths that are illuminated at night.

Baobab Suite and Waterside House

The Baobab Suite is a two-bedroom suite offers two bedrooms (of 60m2) with a bathroom and central lounge with private deck, indoor fireplace, outdoor showers, and plunge pool.

Waterside House is a private four bedroom Villa; spacious and elegant with vibrantly natural furnishings. Light floods into the four en-suite bedrooms, each of which enjoys a private deck. Antique furniture, plush silk furnishings and Persian rugs create an exotic and luxurious feel. Waterside House comes with a private guide, tracker, and own vehicle.
