The Sands @ St Francis lies right on the beach in the picturesque seaside village of St Francis Bay, a quiet little village known for its characteristic white-washed cottages with thatched roofs. It makes for a perfect relaxing beach stop for a couple of days en route from the Garden Route to the private game lodges in the Eastern Cape.

The Sands is a luxurious boutique hotel offering sweeping views of the majestic Indian Ocean and endless stretches of pristine sun-drenched beach. From the pool deck and garden you step right down onto the golden beach. The relaxed and informal atmosphere at The Sands @ St Francis is reflected in the African beach style décor. From the impressive glass entrance and sea views all-round to the inviting lounge, restaurant and bar, the ambience is one of relaxed comfort. The octagonal glass-fronted restaurant, with its impressive thatched roof, central fireplace and cocktail bar, has a panoramic view from its 300-degree vantage point.

Spacious bedrooms offer luxury and style, each opening onto a private deck overlooking the unspoilt beach below. Each is equipped with air-conditioning, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, television and safe. Generous bathrooms offer bathrobes, underfloor heating, separate shower, Jacuzzi bath tub and bidet with shutters which can open the bathroom to the rest of the room. Each room opens onto a private deck with awesome views of the beach and pool below. The honeymoon suite has a spa bath and outdoor shower on its deck where you can enjoy a glass of champagne or a sundowner watching a spectacular sunset.
