Rosenhof Country House is an elegant and peaceful Victorian country house hotel on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn, the heart of the Little Karoo. It is well situated to visit all of the sights such as the Cango Caves and the ostrich farms. The main Victorian homestead (circa 1852) is luxuriously furnished in an understated style, with antiques and fine artworks by well-known South African artists. The house is surrounded by an immaculate rose garden which gives Rosenhof its name (meaning Rose House in Afrikaans). In the garden there’s a swimming pool, gazebo and plenty of roses, herbs and fine trees, providing a delicious cool retreat to return to after touring the Little Karoo.
Twelve spacious courtyard bedrooms, each decorated in Cape-Victorian style, are equipped with telephone, TV, air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities and a small terrace. Two executive suites have their own plunge pools, separate bedroom and lounge and a private patio with peaceful views of the Swartberg Mountains. All rooms are suitable for disabled guests. The Wellness Centre offers a variety of relaxing beauty and health treatments, a fully equipped gym and sauna.
Dining at Rosenhof  is an elegant affair with traditional South African cooking served with flair. A special emphasis is placed on ostrich of course, and the restaurant is supported by an extensive wine cellar. The restaurant has been awarded a Platinum grading (TGCSA). Breakfast is served in the sunny breakfast room overlooking the gardens.
