Overview

  • Situated on an island in the middle of the Okavango Delta
  • Authentic safari experience
  • Bathrooms with a view
  • Excellent value for money

Pom Pom Camp lies on Pom Pom Island in a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta at the head waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and offers super Okavango scenery and a true Okavango wilderness experience. Given its river setting it is both unusual and fortunate to be able to offer a range of land and water based activities for most of the year.

The main lodge at Pom Pom is attractively designed and constructed of thatch and canvas. It lies under a grove of shady trees and overlooks a beautiful lagoon with stunning Okavango sunsets. It has lounge, dining, bar and swimming pool areas, as well as a gift shop and a traditional boma (reeded dining area). Accommodation consists of nine luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style, all with full ensuite but with semi-open bathrooms complete with views!

Activities at Pom Pom Camp

Game activities at Pom Pom Camp are varied and include game drives, night drives, mokoro trips (in season) and bush walks. You have the opportunity of seeing all major predators, a variety of big game and plains game, as well as an abundance of bird life.
