Ocean Paradise Resort Zanzibar is situated on the picturesque North East coast of Zanzibar, overlooking the beautiful turquoise Indian Ocean. Set in 6.5 hectares of colourful landscaped gardens which lead on to the white sandy beach, the African roundhouse style chalets with pitched makuti roofs are fringed with coconut palms. Ocean Paradise Resort Zanzibar features the largest swimming pool in Zanzibar and a stunning waterfall to add to the serenity of the resort.
All rooms are ensuite and have a balcony or patio with views of the Indian Ocean. Each of the rooms have minibar fridge, hairdryer, ceiling fan, air-conditioning, heater, mosquito net, WiFi (additional charge), television with Satellite and local channels, laundry services and tea & coffee making facilities. There are 5 categories of rooms to choose from. The 32 Standard Garden rooms are on the ground and upper levels, the latter are near the Bahari Bar with views of the garden and resort. These rooms are the furthest from the beach and pool at approximately 250m, as is the 24 Superior Garden Rooms which are about 200-230m away. The Superior Garden, Superior and Superior Seafront Rooms have interconnecting rooms which make them ideal for families. The rooms closest to the beach and pool are the 8 Superior Seafront Rooms and the 2 Junior Suites. The Superior Seafront Rooms are located next to the private beach area with access to the beach 5-10m from the room.
There are 3 restaurants at Ocean Paradise Resort. The Ocean Restaurant on the 2nd floor has panoramic views over the resort and Indian Ocean, serving breakfasts in the mornings and buffets in the evenings. Or there's the laid back Jahazi Restaurant at the pool offering a la carte international and local Zanzibari cuisine. For guests wanting something a little more intimate, the beachfront Mawimbi Restaurant is the one to go for.
For entertainment, there is always something going on at the Ocean Paradise Resort Zanzibar, from the traditional African dancers to sport competitions. If you want something a little more quiet and relaxing, why not try out the Spa with it's 4 treatment rooms, 2 jacuzzis, salon, steam room and sauna.
There is a professional PADI accredited dive company on site to organise and oversee your diving trips. Other watersport activities like windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, dolphin tours and boat trips can also be arranged. A dedicated tour office is available in the resort with a wide selection of tours to choose from, including the Spice Island excursion, a visit to Stone Town to take in the history and shopping, or a visit to Jozani Forest to see the Red Colobus Monkeys, to name but a few.
