Mushara Bush Camp is a true bush camp on the doorstep of Namibia's magical Etosha National Park, only 10km from the park gates. It is a truly family-friendly safari camp offering a down-to-earth tented bush camp experience.
The main Bush Camp House is thatched and has a true bush camp feel to it. Your days can be spent absorbing the peaceful bush surroundings or exploring Etosha National Park only 8km away, while the early evenings see a camp fire lit where you can exchange stories of the day's wildlife sightings. Dinner, lunch and breakfast are served on the thatched veranda with the bush only a step away.
Mushara Bush Camp accommodates 32 guests and 8 children in 16 custom made tents, built from a combination of canvas, wood and local limestone. With their own 8m² private veranda and floor to ceiling windows, these rooms are spacious and airy. Each large bathroom has an oversized window and shower looking into the surrounding bush. The brushed cement floors and lime stone walls keep the rooms cool from the afternoon sun. Four of these tents are ideally suited for families with a sleeper couch suitable for two children. A coffee station, safe deposit box, mosquito net, hair drier and fan are standard.
Children are very welcome to bring their parents along to Mushara Bush Camp. While parents will enjoy the effortlessly stylish surroundings, superb home cooked food and excellent service, children will enjoy making their own cookies for snacks during the day, learning about the wildlife around the camp and exploring the camp's jungle gym.
Books, games, toys, drawing utensils, creative games and very friendly child minders keep your children busy. The child-minding service offers you the time to do some quiet bird-watching, enjoy a book, or linger a bit longer over campfire drinks. A watchful eye will be kept over the children whilst they play in the children's pool or special indoor play area where children can build puzzles, draw pictures and discover more about the animals that inhabit Etosha National Park. The play park outside sports a jungle gym, an old tractor and a sand pit. Meal times and meals will be arranged according to the children’s needs.
