Overview

Le Duc de Praslin Hotel lies on the fabulous Cote d’Or Beach with its sister establishment, Cafe des Arts. The hotel is fronted by two kilometers of perfect white sand, lapped by calm shallow waters - ideal for children! The hotel provides free sunbeds on the beach so you can always find shade under the palms to relax, read a book or just dream...

The world famous tourism heritage site, the Vallée de Mai, home of the coco de mer and the unique black parrot, and also the Anse Lazio beach both lie close to Le Duc de Praslin. Anse Lazio is the perfect combination of fine powder-white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and the shade of abundant palms, quite rightly voted one of the Top 10 beaches in the World by Condé Nast Traveller. A short drive, or leisurely bicycle ride from Le Duc, Anse Lazio offers fantastic snorkelling, secluded coves and beachside cafes.

There’s a large bathroom with spacious open showers, most have separate bath. Every room has a large terrace with double sun bed. Some of the superior rooms have interconnecting doors for families. There are also two luxurious and uber-spacious self contained Hillside Villas fully serviced by the hotel, one with three bedrooms and one with four.

Facilities & excursions

Boat excursions leave from the beach in front of the hotel, to head off to the bird islands of Cousin and Aride, the snorkeling island of St Pierre, and giant tortoise island of Curieuse. Half day fishing trips with expert local fisherman can be arranged. Within walking distance are two good diving centres. Amongst Le Duc’s greatest assets are its two restaurants Le Dauphin and Café des Arts, the latter is one of the best restaurants on Praslin.

Facilities include two restaurants, a massage room, art gallery and boutique and it is very proud of its mineral water spa pool, the first Magna Pool in Seychelles - a spa therapy pool using a patented blend of natural ocean minerals.
