Entabeni Lakeside Lodge lies in the top section of Entabeni Safari Conservancy in the Waterberg only 3 hours north of Johannesburg. This beautiful 22,000ha malaria-free game reserve has a varied terrain with five eco-systems supporting a wide range of game including the Big Five. It offers unspoilt African bushveld ranging from rocky outcrops, where the leopards watch from hidden crevices, to wide open savannah where the herds of zebra, wildebeest and impala congregate.
The upper escarpment offers majestic craggy rock formations and open grasslands with wooded valleys, a favourite hangout for elephants. This is separated from the lower plateau by 600m high cliffs. The lower part of Entabeni reserve is sandveld and a series of wetlands and is the haunt of the lions and general plains game. The two parts of the reserve are connected via a very dramatic and exhilarating ravine road. This lower area is approx. 3 degrees warmer!
Entabeni Lakeside Lodge enjoys a stunning lakeside setting with 24 stone and thatch chalets each with private sundeck. The lodge provides a memorable blend of luxury in the wilderness. The lake lies between soaring peaks of the Waterberg, and is a wonderful place for bird-watching. Enjoy sundowners on your own private deck with the ever-changing colours of the Entabeni Mountain reflecting in the Lake.
Activities at Entabeni Lakeside Lodge include twice-daily game drives in open game 4x4 vehicles, guided nature walks, horse riding, moonlit boma dinners, picnic lunches and bush sundowners. Additional activities include helicopter flips and hot air ballooning in the early morning light which is a particularly special activity.
Entabeni Lakeside Lodge welcomes families, with children over 6 years old being able to go on game drives. One child or two smaller children can share with parents.
