The 4 star Cape Milner Hotel lies cradled beneath the majestic Table Mountain in Cape Town's trendy suburb of Tamboerskloof, also known as the city bowl area... This stylish hotel offers a sophisticated and contemporary ambience. Luxurious rooms, each offering spectacular views of Table Mountain or Signal Hill, are all decorated in subdued soft contemporary style.

The Cape Milner Hotel mixes old-style elegance with modern comforts. Its minimalist décor may not suite all tastes but the excellent value for money certainly will. The hotel has 55 standard rooms and two suites. Rooms have an understated décor using crisp white linen and earthy-toned as well as air-conditioning, wifi, LCD flat screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The en-suite bathrooms are relatively spacious with a separate bath and shower. Some rooms (including the two suites) have private balconies with mountain views.

Its restaurant terrace offers a sweeping panorama of Table Mountain, as does the good-sized swimming pool. This is particularly enchanting at night with views of the backlit mountain. The many restaurants, bars and boutiques of vibey Kloof Street are an easy five minutes walk away. The city centre of Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront are also only 5 minutes drive away. All in all the Cape Milner is a well-priced and well appointed choice in Cape Town.

The rooms have a lovely, spacious feel which has been achieved by using a neutral palette, with a play on texture and vibrant accents. The warm texture of the timber floors and paneling, are contrasted with the white duco units, mirror panels and crisp white bed linen. Taupe tones provide the perfect backdrop for the creative artwork of South African photographer Kyle Mijlos, taken during his travels throughout Africa. Silk cushions and chenille throws provide a splash of colour to the rooms.
