Bloomestate is ideal for lovers of modern design and tranquil surroundings. This contemporary guest house in Swellendam, close to the Route 62, is set in 6.5 acres so that its crisp and clean decor and contemporary architecture is balanced with open, natural space.
Nestled in the foothills of the Overberg mountains on the edge of the historic town of Swellendam, Bloomestate is the perfect home base from which to experience the region's highlights: whale-watching, visiting the delightful wine estates of the Robertson Wine Valley and Route 62, wandering the many hiking trails of the Langeberg Mountain range, communing with the wildlife in the Marloth Park, Bontebok National Park or De Hoop Nature reserve.
The owners and hosts, Calvin and Cheré du Plessis, along with their friendly staff, always ensure discrete, personal and professional service. To help sustain both the estate and the surrounding natural beauty, Bloomestate strives to use as many locally-made or Fair Trade products as possible. They serve local fruits and organic vegetables, use energy-efficient lighting and eco-friendly cleaning materials. The hot water is solar- heated and the waste is composted.
Seven very spacious and stylish bedrooms open onto the pool deck. Each has a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. Each is decorated in a contemporary and uncluttered style oozing simplicity and style. Giant wooden beds face the French doors which look out over the inviting pool and serene rural views. Vibrant colours are juxtaposed with minimalist white. Each bedroom is equipped with wireless internet access (with a laptop available for guests.)
The serene lake, secluded jacuzzi, saltwater pool, strategically-placed hammocks and a pampering day spa...Every element of the guesthouse has been crafted to create a soothing and natural experience.
