Overview

Ndhovu Safari Lodge is the original lodge on the western banks of the Okavango River in the Caprivi Strip of northern Namibia. It offers luxury tented accommodation for a true safari ambience. The area is home to large game such as elephant and hippo and to more than 400 different bird species such as the black-crowned night heron, purple gallinule and carmine bee-eater – heaven for any ornithologist. During the rainy season the area around the lodge is very often flooded; then Ndhovu Safari Lodge is transformed into an island on the Okavango.

Accommodation at Ndhovu Safari Lodge

Each tent at Ndhovu Safari Lodge has its own en suite bathroom and comfortable furnishings. For the adventurous types there is even a floating tent set on its own floating deck on the river so that you can hear the night sounds of the river all around you.

Activities at Ndhovu Safari Lodge include fishing, morning and afternoon game drives as well as a boat cruises in both the morning and afternoon. The lapa overlooks the Okavango river where elephant and hippos congregate whilst you enjoy a sundowner drink and later, a three course dinner.
