Overview
Cape Town * Cape Winelands * Garden Route (Plettenberg Bay) * Eastern Cape Safari
Of course our sort of winter wonderland may be different from yours. You won’t have snow under foot. Or risk getting frostbite if you are out without a hat.
But South Africa does have a mild ''winter'' season and it’s wonderful. The days are cooler and yes, there’s a chance of rain if you are in the Cape. But it is also the time when you can be active all day without dying of heat exhaustion. Or feeling like a grease ball from slathering on the sunblock too many times. Plus you can get into that top restaurant without needing to book 3 months ahead. And you won’t be sharing a wonderful view with a crowd of selfie-snappers.
Typically the days are a pleasant 17 to 22 C. Whilst at night you can enjoy a good bottle of red wine around an open fire-place. (It’s not just the Danes that do ‘hygge’ in the winter. We South Africans also love our open fires and candles…)
But here's the kicker - As it is a quieter time, many of the hotels offer long stay specials, which can start from as little as three nights. And we all know 3 nights is often the perfect stay. Two nights is just too short to get to know an area. And 3 nights means you can also do a spot of guilt-free relaxing at the same time.
So here’s our winter offer which adds up to a magnetic 12 nights for the price of only 8-9 nights
Tailor-made Variations
Obviously being a special, you are limited to the hotels that we have highlighted. However feel free to add on extra nights if you prefer, perhaps in Hermanus on the Whale Coast, or head up to the Cederberg Mountains, the warmest place in the Cape in winter.
We are offering this at two price points:
Main Price - this is our Premier option with the hotels as shown in the itinerary. (We can reduce this a little by choosing some alternative options - contact us.)
